Conquest Men's Ministry
The most critical need in our country has nothing to do with global warming, political correctness, crime or economics. The most critical need in our country is strong, resolute, moral, passionate men of God. Transformed men will transform the world. Conquest Men's Ministry exists to raise up true men of God who will change the world for Jesus Christ. The history of the human race is punctuated by strong men who changed their societies. It's time for another generation of world changers. Conquest Men's Ministry will use several tools to equip men to transform their world.Ways to get involved

(1Corinthians 6:19 NASV) "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (Psalms 133:1 NASV) "Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!"
In order to keep our bodies healthier and provide a chance for us to spend some great time together, we will be having some recreational activities throughout the year. Endurance
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1 ESV).
Our mission is to build spirit-filled men through fellowship, training, and encouragement all for the glory of God.
Once we are born again, we have joined the race of life spiritually, which is more like a marathon - not a sprint. Many start the race but he who lays aside any hindrances, faces obstacles, and endures the journey will finish the race when he meets the Savior.
Goals and Challenges
- Do you wish to stay in shape in all aspects of your life - spiritually, physically and mentally?
- Do you need encouragement to walk just to lose weight? Or develop physical endurance?
- Do you have a desire to run your first 5K race? Your first half marathon? Or a full marathon? First cycling race?
- Do you enjoy walking, running, swimming or cycling?
When/ time / place?
- Running and cycling sites or routes will be announced a week in advance.

Men's Retreat

The annual men's retreat is held at Fort Caswell, NC every January, to kick off the New Year in men's ministry. The retreat is quickly becoming one of the most exciting events for Conquest Men. It is no coincidence that we are staying on the grounds of an old fort. We find refuge at the fort and time to rebuild the army of Christ. We retool our weapons and swords and get prepared to do battle for the upcoming year. The Holy Spirit guides us in this endeavor. We carpool down to Oak Island, and bunk together in the barracks. The meals are always a big hit at the chow hall. We have times of teaching, praying, and worship. We have planned and unplanned fellowship, recreation, and fun. If you have not been on this event, then you must not miss out. The results are incredible! We have seen men restored, healed, and filled with the Holy Spirit. Come and let God have his way in your life. We look forward to seeing you there in January 2012.
- For more information, contact Mike Cason at mtsrfa@gmail.com.
- You can visit Fort Caswell online to find out more about the retreat center.
Iron Sharpens Iron

Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another".
Conquest will provide low-key, informal avenues of fellowship and sharpening in small groups. Some of these Ironman groups will meet at least once a month in places like coffee shops, fast food restaurants, on the basketball court, or at the gym to help provide encouragement and accountability.
...being confident of this very thing, that HE who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:6.
Men of God, have you arrived yet? Are you looking to be challenged in your walk with God with other brothers to dig into the Word, pray and fellowship? We are a band of brothers passionately committed to sharpen each other (Proverbs 27:17) and encourage each other to be the men God has called us to be. Come and be refreshed and connected!!!

Pastor Chad's Challenge

God is raising up a new generation of men who will attempt audacious things for the Kingdom of God. These men will be bold, fearless, focused, and passionate, and will be "marked men" in the eyes of our Adversary. Will you stand shoulder-to-shoulder with me as we charge the Enemy's lines and attempt to transform the world for Christ?
- Here are some tools God is using to build me up:

- Humility: True Greatness by C.J. Mahaney

Blood Drive

- One of our own, Paul Watson, sent this email to me to make us aware of the shortage of blood right now at Rex Hospital. If you are able to give blood you can stop by Rex now. Paul's email is below with the directions and his phone number as a contact if you have questions.
- I'm a recent cancer survivor from First Assembly, and I was wondering if your men's group would be interested in participating in a blood drive for Rex Hospital. They're currently having a severe shortage of blood, and given that I was treated there, I'm trying to raise awareness about this issue. It would be at Rex's Blood Donor Center at 2709 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 150 in Raleigh. Here's a map:

Adopt a Family

(James 1:27 KJV) Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
- The adopt a family program is to help insure that our widows and elderly are not forgotten. This is an opportunity for you and your family leader of this ministry. Ryan will designate a widow or elderly couple in the church for you to adopt. You will make a phone call to introduce yourself and be a point of contact for this person.
- We have inclement weather from time to time, or they may have something go wrong at their home that they cannot handle. They will be able to call you and you can either help or get some help for them. We want to bless our widows and elderly in the church. They have blessed others in the past and we need to remember them. Please take a small step and be a blessing to those who cannot help themselves.

Prison Ministry

Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. Heb. 13:3
- We are working with Wake Correctional to go and visit the guys in prison and share the good news of the Gospel and fellowship with the guys. We visit Wake Correctional on Monday and Friday nights. We also have opportunities to visit various prison and boys detention centers in the area as well. Lastly we are working with Pardoned By Christ ministries to work on a transitional house to help those who have nowhere else to turn when they leave prison and to help them to become strong men of God in this lost and dying world.
- All of these opportunities will take about 3 hours out of your evening.
- If you are interested, please contact Brian Dickerson at 919-280-0832 or email him at bdickerson@gmail.com so that he can help you get the certification to visit the prisons or work with you towards scheduling something at the Transitional House. The certification only takes a few hours on a Saturday.
