OUR PURPOSE
Our missions efforts at RFA are based on fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you."(Matthew 28:19-20). The mandate of missions also includes ministry to the totality of human need, "feed the hungry...clothe the naked...visit the sick and imprisoned." (Matthew 25:31-46). The geographic scope of missions is "Jerusal...Judea and Samar...and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8), a viewpoint that is also part of the missions mandate, as is much prayer, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest." (Matthew 9:37-38). Because so many of the world's population live in regions that are either hostile to or unaware of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, our priorities will continue to emphasize those areas of the world, and future financial commitments will of necessity reflect that priority. "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to all people groups for a witness to all people, and then the end shall come." (Matthew 24:14).To fulfill our missions purpose at RFA, we seek to "build up and send out Spirit-filled agents of local and global transformation." Whether at home or abroad, a missions journey can be a life-changing experience for those with the heart to serve. Take a look at how YOU can get involved in missions at RFA.

GLOBAL MISSIONS
Short-term Missions Trips - There are several short-term missions opportunities available at RFA that will affect nearly every continent of the world. No matter your vocation, gift, or strength we have a trip that needs you! We encourage all of our members to try a short-term missions trip at least once. You will feel the joy of striving for a noble purpose in the Kingdom of God and will develop lasting friendships with your team and with the people to whom you minister. You will never be the same afterwards! This year we are making preparations for trips to India, Moldova, Ghana, and Haiti. If you are interested in one of these trips or want to know more, contact Mike Cason at mtsrfa@gmail.com.Blogs for Mission Trips
