HOUSE OF PRAYER

· Men's prayer, Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Worship Center.

· Open prayer, Friday night, 8-11 p.m. in the Worship Center.

 

TRIANGLE CHRISTIAN MEDICAL FELLOWSHIP

The Triangle Christian Medical Fellowship seeks to encourage, disciple and equip healthcare students, residents and fellows, physicians and dentists as well as other healthcare professionals to apply their faith in the workplace, as they serve Christ and people in need, locally and around the world. The group has monthly meetings at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and also sponsors the local Duke and UNC student chapters of the CMDA. MASTER’S COMMISSION RALEIGH

Master’s Commission Raleigh is preparing for its third year at First Assembly. To find out more about this impacting ministry and the opportunities to serve and give, come to our informational booth in the foyer. We will be there to answer your questions.

 

HOME OPENERS

Master’s Commission Raleigh is still in need of people to open their homes to a Master’s Commission student for the nine months that they are in Raleigh studying at First Assembly. PARADE OF FLAGS VOLUNEERS

MISSION TRIP TO HAITI

The dates for the Annual Children’s Christmas Program in Haiti have been confirmed for December 8-14. Contact Pastor Mark at mark.jones@raleighfirst.org if you are interested in

joining this year’s team trip to Haiti or for more information.

 

PARKING TEAM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

TEEN BIBLE QUIZ

TBQ will start Sunday, August 29 at 9 am in rooms 310/311 with an informational meeting followed by practice. We welcome interested youth, their parents, and anyone who is considering coaching or officiating to attend this meeting. (Touch the World Fund)

to help provide

water purification units & filters

for Haiti.

NEW SMALL GROUPS

E4 YOUTH SMALL GROUPS

E4 groups meet at 6 pm. Students in grades 5-12 are invited to come. We will have refreshments and join together to prepare for another exciting year. For more information contact Shanna Kulik at the church office or shanna.kulik@raleighfirst.org.

 

THE GATHERING SMALL GROUP

The Gathering is a Bible study and fellowship group for singles ages of 35-50. This group will meet twice a month on Fridays at the home of David and Peggie D'Amico. To receive more information about the group, call Peggie at 919-781-3249.

 

COLLEGE-AGE BELIEVERS SMALL GROUP

"HC", a new small group for college-age believers (ages 18-24), will start today. The group will meet weekly on Sunday following second service, at Dr. Mike and Chris Haglund's home (near the church) with lunch provided. Please sign up at the Information Center and take a brochure (directions included). This will give us a count for lunch and you more information about the group. SOJOURNERS SMALL GROUP

Sojourners (so· journ· er—noun; a temporary resident) will begin Tuesday, September 7, meeting 7-9 pm in the Brier Creek area. This group offers fellowship, mutual encouragement (Heb 10: 23-25), prayer and praise. For more information contact Bill and Robin Wilber, 768-1455 or wwilber@nc.rr.com.

 

PRECEPTS BIBLE STUDY

Precepts will begin a 12-week study of Hebrews chapters 1-4. This study will examine the role of our merciful High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, and our personal journey of faith. There are two options for joining this study:

 

Mondays 9:30 am-12 noon (August 30-November 29),

taught by Lisa Carter.

Tuesdays 7-9:30 pm (August 31-November 30),

taught by Liz McIntosh.

 

Both groups meet at the church in room 105-107. Sign up begins August 8. You must register to receive a textbook. This class will close to new students after September 14. Textbooks cost $25. BGMC RIDE-A-THON

It’s time once again for the Ride- A- Thon as we raise additional support for Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge (BGMC). The funds raised are used for technical and emergency support for our Assemblies of God missionaries. Children up through 5th grade raise support through a Ride-a-Thon which will take place on Saturday, September 18, 10 am-12 noon in the church parking lot. Lunch will be provided from 12 noon-1 pm. Prizes will be presented for the most funds raised and the most sponsors; and there will be a drawing for every child who participates. Prizes will be awarded at lunchtime. More information about this ministry and the pledge forms can be picked up in the children’s registration areas. We hope to see you there!
