Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Who should give online?
Online giving will benefit anyone who is looking for a simpler way to assure that their giving is consistent. It may be used to give either a one-time or a recurring gift to our ministry.

Question: Can I designate my offering to specific funds?
Yes. On the Tithe and Auto-tithe screens, you simply pull down the “Choose a fund:” arrow. The default is General Fund which means it goes into the normal tithing fund of the church. You can also pick special campaigns like Building People, Blessing Nations. If the fund you desire is not listed you can select "Other: email- give@raleighfirst.org". If you select Other, be sure to email us at give@raleighfirst.org and let us know where we should apply the money. If we do not receive an email along with a designation of other, we will assume it is meant for the General Fund.

Question: Is Online Giving safe?
Security is a top priority. That's why we've taken every step possible to make sure your data is secure and always available. We use an online provider, who utilizes 128-bit SSL security during the transmission of all sensitive information. Your credit card information is not stored at the church in any way.

Question: Can I cancel or change my online giving setup?
Yes. You can manage your online giving schedule, anytime by logging into your account and making the necessary changes. You can also view your giving history.

Question: Will my Online gifts be included on my Statement of Contributions?
Yes, they will be included in your yearly giving report.

Question: How can I get a receipt of my online gift?  What if I am not a member but want to make a donation?
You will receive an email confirmation, which is acceptable as a valid receipt for tax purposes. In addition, all givers who contribute over $250 a year will automatically receive a contribution statement at year end regardless of membership status, assuming we have all of their correct address information. If you would like to receive a contribution statement for gifts equaling less than $250 a year, please send a request to Mike Borka and we will ensure that you receive one.

Question: What about giving during worship services?
Even if you choose online giving, you may still use an offering envelope during a service of worship as a testimony and reminder of your faith and faithfulness to God.

Question: What are the benefits of online giving?
You can prioritize giving in your budget. The Bible indicates giving is to be a "first" and not a last or leftover matter in my life. It is easy to let our standards and intentions be compromised by the press of expenses and billing cycles.
You can increase your faithfulness. Have you ever forgotten your gift, left it at home or pledged to double it in the future? Have you had times where you have fallen behind because of travel and other schedule interruptions? Online giving provides a way to strengthen your faithfulness.
You can help Raleigh First. Through online giving, you expedite your gift, simplify our accounting, and strengthen our base of regular support.
You can encourage faith and faithfulness in the lives of fellow believers. As you plan and prioritize your giving, you will lead the way for others to grow and mature in their spiritual stewardship. Being a forerunner in this new area of planned giving, you can provide personal testimony and example for others to follow.
